Nelson's breweries are a cornerstone of the après-ski, board, bike, hike, and paddle scene. Right on Baker Street, you'll find Backroads Brewing Co., a favourite for their small-batch, award-winning ales and lagers, and a popular spot for Sunday afternoon trivia.
Just a short jaunt up the road on Latimer Street sits the historic Nelson Brewing Co. (NBC). Founded in 1991, NBC occupies a building that served as the town's original brewery over a century ago.
Lastly, near the scenic Kootenay Lake is Torchlight Brewing Co., a nanobrewery known for its innovative brews and tasty food menu. Each brewery offers a unique glimpse into the local culture and is a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind after a day of adventure.
