One of BC’s most underrated selectors, Ray Ray, caught wind of the stellar mountain conditions we’ve been experiencing here at Whitewater Ski Resort as of late, and has invited his pal Civillian of Vancouver’s elusive multi-media performance duo Gangstronauts along for a Kootenay visit to shred the gnar, as well as the decks at Bloom! Cover is just $5 all night, with drink specials on until 11:30pm..

A nefarious riddim-slinging ninja of the Party Cat clan, Ray Ray bobs and weaves his way around BC’s mountains in the winter and the rivers, oceans and beaches in the summer, consistently bringing thick layers of dubby bassweight and irie vibrations with him wherever he travels.. He’s recently located to the coastal sprawl of Vancouver to focus on his trade, finding time to nice up the dance when he can.

Originally hailing from Toronto, Civillian has been running amok through Vancouver and across the West Coast for the past 6 years. He set out from the east with an intention of making films but as soon as got his bearings, he could not refrain from the undeniably alluring energy that is oozing out of the electronic music community. Shortly thereafter, he became a part of the Vancity-based INEO Studios crew, as well as one half of the elusive mixed media performance duo, Gangstronauts.

When he’s not rollin’ deep (across space and/or time) as a Gangstronaut, you can find Civillian mixing eclectic and immersive beats anywhere from east-van house parties to the late, late slot at any given after hours spot. As a purveyor of all fine musics, his sets tend to vary depending on the vibe of the moment – from house to dnb, trap, grime, and deeper downtempo sounds; one thing you can count on is all of it will make you feel like a G.
