On Friday June 2, Tribute Board Shop is hosting a record swap starting at 6pm at their Baker Street location.. We figured – why not take a stroll down the main drag and keep the party going at Bloom Nightclub?

Digs Beats, Adept & Shasta have each signed on for an all-vinyl night of hip hop, funk, breakbeats and whatever else their crates might be holding.. Cover is just $5 before 11, with Happy Hour drink specials on until 11:30pm!

Dozens of mixtapes, acomplished turntablist & consumate producer. Shambhala veteran.

•• DJ Adept ••

There is no denying the role this DJ had in the development of Nelson’s electronic music scene.. Moving to the Kootenays from England in the early 90’s and bringing with him the first Technics turntables and crates of records to Nelson – He is the true grandfather of the Kootenay DJ scene.

The very first underground “house” parties were held in his basement as well as the first ever DJ residencies held in local pubs where he sparked a DJ scene out of nothing. Adept paved the way and layed the bricks for the foundation of electronic music to exist in in a small mountain ski town where it seemed rock and roll and live bands dominated at the time.

•• Shasta ••

A true old-schooler, Shasta brings all the skills, and the subtleties required to really rock a Kootenay party.
