Bloom Nightclub
198 Baker St
Nelson, BC V1L 4H2
Jake Langmuir

After completely decimating Bloom Nightclub at the beginning of the year, they’re back to do it again. This time they have brought the neck breaking due RAPTURE Music in from Calgary to slay the decks, and bring us all to a new level of existence. As well we have Calmpound; the great mind behindLow Key BC, and Hood curator SixxSpeed returns to deliver a unique heavy bass-driven set! This is for all those bass heads that missed the first “There Goes The Hood” and are ready to open up a pit. No cover all night, doors are open at 10pm, and there may also be a drink special or two up until 11:30 – so be sure to come down early and throw down in support Canada’s bass music scene.

•• Rapture ••
[Abducted Records / The Supreme Hustle / Symbiotic Sound] (12:30am – 2:00am)

Rapture is a deadly due consisting of Kootenay boys Jeremy Smithson, and Jamie Truscott. After joining forces in late 2013 Rapture proved that this combination is not one to be messed with. Rapture is representing Abducted Records, and Supreme Hustle out of Calgary. They have opened for 50 Carrot, Eprom, and Candyland, as well as headlining Awaken Festival (BC), Summer Bass (BC), and Majestic Meadow (AB). With their newest EP “TurnUP!” forthcoming on Supreme Hustle, Rapture is on their way to the top. Jeremy, and Jamie’s combination of high energy sets, and original basslines will leave you and the rest of the dance floor wanting more.

•• SixxSpeed ••
[Majin Gang / Gone Postal Records / Trapstyle.com]
(11:30pm – 12:30am)

An evil presence seeks to enslave what’s left of humanity, and there is only one thing to stop it, SixxSpeed. Half man, half machine, and an unnatural love for the 80’s, he is more hero than any other man on earth. Sixx is ready to destroy evil and save the world one set at a time. Locked in his secret lab for the last two years, SixxSpeed has developed a style of his own, and is ready to grab a gear. His roots may be based in ultra-aggressive Dubstep, but no body puts Sixx in a corner. Based out of Nelson BC, and with musical inspirations such as Getter, Gentlemen’s Club, Ghastly, and Borgore you can expect his new music and sets to be filled with bass lines that leave you saying, “What the F#$%!”.

Sixx has had releases on Damaged Sound, Gone Postal Records, TrapStyle Prime, and is part of the MAJIN Gang, which is a Dubstep sub-crew of CRITTERZ. He has received support from We’re Not Friends, Seek N’ Destroy, Notixx, Ironhide, and Whipped Cream. His first release with TrapStyle Prime received enormous support from the community. Sixx is going from 0 to 100 real quick, and is ready to destroy a dancefloor near you.
