Exams are over and spring has sprung so shift that spring to your step and get on the dancefloor at Bloom Nightclub.. With its full-on PK Sound System and dynamic lighting effects, and these three veteran mixers, you can’t go wrong.. They have each honed their abilities and styles for many a past dancefloor extravaganza…and this night will be no different!

•• DJ Just-B ••

DJ Just-B grew up near Toronto, Canada where he began spinning records in 1997. He was influenced by the emerging hip-hop, electronic dance and pop sounds of the 80’s as well as house, techno, and jungle/drum n bass parties of the 90’s. Upon moving to Nelson, BC, Canada in 1999, he began to hone his particular DJ style of “dirty, sexy, funky, chunky, boompty, bouncy, irresistibly danceable house music.” Most recently, B has reintroduced more hip-hop, breaks, mashups and dnb to the usual mix, focusing on big bass lines and dynamic lyrics, all the while retaining a smooth and positive feel…

•• Lefy ••

Lefy has been one of the many Heart Beats here in the East Kootenays electronic music scene for a number of years. He’s been DJing since his College radio days and back then it was all vinyl. He’s built a strong dance community in and around Invermere, hosting a multitude of amazing events like Bass Camp, Lefy-Fest and some epic nights at Bud’s Boogie Parlor. He fulfilled a dream of playing Shambhala in 2009 at the Rock Pit and The Time of Your Life Dome @ Burning Man.

From house parties to big festivals, Lefy’s zest for life, positive energy and well-intentioned dance sets are sure to get your Booty Shakin’ on the dance floor!

•• Justin Pleasure ••

“When it comes right down to it, it’s my love for house music that has kept me in it for all these years.”

Staying true to a genre is an understatement for Justin. A house music devotee since he first started DJ’ing in 1989, Justin spent the first 20 yrs of his DJ life hauling his flight cases of vinyl and helping pioneer the original warehouse/after-hours party scene in Western Canada.

“In the 90’s DJ’ing wasn’t what it was today, no MP3’s or easy access to music… vinyl was the only choice. Being both incredibly expensive and difficult to obtain, DJ’s had to make a serious commitment to the art to even be involved.”

Coming up through the golden age of classic house and techno though was a true gift. This helped forge Justin’s reputation for long, well curated house sets that have graced many venues, from main stage and fractal forest at Shambhala, to clubs and warehouses across Western Canada. And after all these years, Justin still has the same principle, expose the people to cutting edge, ‘hi-brow’ house music. Please enjoy responsibly.
