The Sugarbear & Craig Mullin join forces at Bloom Nightclub on Friday May 6 to broadcast a wild mix of new and used dance music on the finest-sounding room in town. Entry is a mere $5 at the door, with Happy Hour drink specials in effect until 11:30pm!

•• The Sugarbear ••

The SugarBear (a.k.a. Robert E. Livingood) has a deep love for dance culture. His involvement with underground music goes back more than 30 years to his home city of Detroit where he ran Hopscotch Records and promoted shows at 404 Willis–a prominent nursery for fringe art and music in the notorious Cass Corridor. He knows the power of a good party and believes in unifying dance floors by cross pollinating between genres, spinning a wild mix that gets people out of their heads and onto their feet. Known primarily for long sets (sometimes up to nine hours), his sonic range is outside of the box and defies easy classification. In one session he might play everything from house to hip hop, funk, soul and psychedelia, new & used disco to breaks–whatever it takes to create the space where people can get down and experience their wild side.

•• Craig Mullin ••

20 years a DJ, Craig Mullins’ musical explorations have taken him to large festivals, living rooms and everything in between at over 1000 events on 5 continents.
