Combining his love for blockrockin’ hip hop with skull shaking basslines and soul stirring funk, the K+LAB sound is a party rocking mothership full of musical booty. K+LAB’s live show consists of a keytar, MPD drum machine and trunk-loads of funk, completely reworking his original tunes and remixes he takes you on an eclectic odyssey through the underground swamps of bass music.
K+LAB live samples everything from jazz to drum n bass, funk to glitch hop, soul to breakbeat and everything in between leaving you pleasantly disoriented as he drops brick after brick into your earholes!

It is this unparalleled combination of bass-heavy qualities that have seen him become an in-demand performer across the globe. The last 6 years have seen K+LAB performing to thousands of blissed out punters with epic tours through Australia, Canada, and New Zealand including festivals such as Shambhala (CAD), Northern Bass (NZD), Earth Frequency Festival (AUS) and more.

He’s followed up his NZ Music Awards-nominated album “Spacedirt” with “The Worldly’s” [Lowtemp] – an album that has really allowed K+lab to spread his wings, and evolve as an artist – check for it!

•• Freddy J ••

He unfailingly brings you some of the best bassline driven party funk every time he plays, which can be described as a mixture of electro, funky, dirty, whompy, groovy, bassy, crunky, and a flat out good time. His mixes are guaranteed to bring anyone to their feet and you can count on it that he’ll set the tone for a good time, every time.

Recent years have seem him cementing his status as one of Canada’s “must see” DJs all over Canada at numerous events including the Fractal Forest at Shambhala, 5 times now. Also playing at Motion Notion numerous times and the notorious Burning Man Festival, to name a few. The only way to explain the vibe to your friends is to tell them that Freddy J will get them shaking their asses all night long. What more can be said about this one-of-a-kind DJ, other than that his stylish blend of music is like none other, and can only be witnessed by being part of the crowds he rocks each and every time he plays… This is one DJ you won’t want to miss.
