For the Kootenay edition of 2017’s Shambhala Music Festival Pre-Parties, we were able to enlist the Keytar-Wielding, Beat-Making Wunderkind from New Zealand known as K+lab, for his inaugural set at The Savoy Hotel! His will not be the only debut on the night, as Fractal Forest resident Freddy J from Calgary will also be making his debut appearance at Bloom Nightclub.. David’s love for Vinyl started while he was living out east, but not until he moved to Nelson and immersed himself in its vibrant nightlife, did his journey as a DJ begin.

Over the years, he focused on digging the crates to build his extensive repertoire. Expect to hear a blend of funk, hip hop and house in which he creates an atmosphere that brings a smile to your face every time.

Fattycakes has been performing at Unity Music Festivall for the past three years and made his debut at Shambhala Music Festival in the Fractal Forest last summer.
