Hard to believe it’s already been a full year of the Fershursday monthly.  From headliners to up and comers, we’ve worked hard to bring together a mix of artists to help push the boundaries of the music we love in this area.

Come kick off May long weekend with DJ Dubconscious and DUA. They will be joining Fershursday residents Tim Day and Yetz celebrate one year of Fershursdays.

•• Dubconscious ••

Dubconscious has come to represent both the east & the western coast of Canada. Born and raised in the Toronto area, he attended University in Victoria before spending 2 years in Nelson BC, snowboarding in the winters & working with the talent department at Shambhala Music Festival – a role that has developed into the title of Entertainment and Digital Media Director. He’s also become a resident of the Living Room (Beach) Stage over the past seven years, also performing on the Village Stage five of those years.

After a 4 year stint living in East Vancouver, this seasoned selector has returned to the Kootenays with a plethora of fresh flavors to the pop off in the dance – monumental basslines meet a roots reggae infusion, reggae and dancehall intermingle, funky bashment vibes and bass-infused house face off, classic hip hop and trip hop, drum’n’bass and jungle, spacey halftime beats and thick dubwise riddims – all with a dash of turntablism.

•• DUA ••

With a love for beer, bacon and heavy bass lines, Dua is a guy who knows his priorities in life. Having attended his first “rave” party over 20 years ago and with a strong 15 years+ working in the production industry, he has an obsessive passion for electronic music. As the boss at DLD Productions and a Stage Manager at Shambhala’s Village Stage, he is constantly surrounded by a variety of sounds orbiting the low end.

Never confined to any single particular genre, Dua is comfortable rinsing out everything from smooth rollers to aggressive, bone rattling bangers. You can be guaranteed to hear the freshest in Drum and Bass, Jungle, Dubstep, Glitch and Hip Hop during one of Dua’s sets.

Never one to be satisfied with the status quo, Dua has proven time and time again: Don’t Dua what Dua don’t Dua!

•• Tim Day DJ ••

From tree planting camps to main stages, from small town Ontario to the heart of the Kootenays.

Since arriving in BC six years ago and choosing to call Nelson home, Tim Day has made himself a staple of the area’s infamous nightlife. Always keeping everyone on their toes, Tim introduces some of the freshest underground sounds from around the world, while paying homage to the classics that got us where we are today. It doesn’t matter if it’s solo, b2b, or working with some of the area’s best MC’s, Tim Day is always looking for that next reload ting.

•• YETZ ••

Located in Nelson BC Canada. Spinning since early 2015, Hudson is a bass music enthusiast – especially Drum and Bass. Liquid, Jungle, Jump-up and Dub, he aims to cover all bases, tossing in some Throwbacks to a time before electronic music here and there.
