Cass Rhapsody is a funktastic, groovalistic song slinger of Kootenay fame who has been pleasing ears here in the Nelson area for the past 20 years. His superbly selected sets invariably weave his audience into a deep dish delight and can cause spontaneous, irreversible, Afro growth. Cass’ love for funk, soul, and rare groove music is broadcast bi-weekly on his show “Break The Stereo,” live from Kootenay Co-op Radio, and syndicated internationally. Cass plays for the people and has an amazing ability to feel the vibe of the crowd and tailor his set to make sure everybody is lovin’ it. He can be found in front of dance floors all over Kootenay clubs, bars, parties and other good time gatherings. Choice cuts with a loving touch!

•• Ben Fox Music ••

“Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.”

That’s how Ben Fox describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep or switch styles, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic record collection and later inspired by his own love of hip hop and dance music, Ben has ended up with a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks.

As an active member of his local community in Nelson, BC – Ben is no stranger to the peaks and valleys of a small-town with a big music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs and festivals, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, MC, and turntablist, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically.

Ben’s most mentionable enactments include performing at Shambhala Music Festival and opening for some of the biggest names in the industry such as Method Man, Flux Pavilion and Zion I Crew.

Ben Fox will transport your mind and soul to a sonic paradise that, while leaving you exhausted, will also leave you feeling strangely re-invigorated.
