Just when you thought the holidays were finally over, we have one more event to squeeze onto our list of incredible holiday celebrations!

In honouring Canada’s Ukrainian community that uses the Julian calendar for their cultural holidays we have put together an evening filled with friends and family that may not have been able to fit each other in during the standard holiday season. This year’s “Ukrainian Christmas Eve” falls on Saturday, January 6th – and whether you are Ukrainian or not, we invite you down to join us in in one last holiday hooray with a couple resident DJs of The Village Stage that exemplify the quiet eclecticism that permeates through the hard and heavy sounds that the stage has largely been recognized for over the years.. and it’s just $5 at the door, with PK Sound in full effect!

•• Dj Anger ••
Victoria, BC

Getting his start after the purchase of a set of Technics 1200′s in grade school, Anger taught himself to DJ and his hobby quickly evolved into moonlighting as one of the city’s most in demand DJs. A chameleon in his sound, Anger’s hip hop roots have developed in versatility to keep him right at the edge of the newest styles, all the while maintaining the throwback influences. Delving into sounds ranging from funk to breaks, reggae to bass heavy, Anger’s ability to keep the crowd dancing keeps him in the limelight and sharing stages with some of the biggest in music today.

•• mr.b ••

Known for his uncompromising blend of jazz and funk infused house and breaks, Mr B consistently delivers a smooth selection of organic beats geared for the discerning dancefloor. His sets are focused on bringing people together in positive ways through music. This comes through in his seamless mixing of dusty classics with the future sounds of glitch and bass heavy favorites. With over a decade of experience that has included weekly residencies in Calgary and Victoria, and numerous appearances at Shambhala and Soundwave, mr.b’s unique sound is certainly west coast yet distinctly his own.
